Opening Soon

We’re excited to announce Barwon Regional Cricket Centre is opening soon!

As part of the fifth and final stage of the GMHBA Stadium redevelopment at Kardinia Park, Barwon Regional Cricket Centre brings a brand new, state-of-the-art, 5-lane indoor cricket centre to Geelong and the Bellarine region.

Located outside gate 1 of the stadium, the centre sits alongside Geelong Cricket Club’s outdoor turf training nets, bringing the above-mentioned indoor nets as well as indoor changerooms, meeting room and reception area to the Kardinia Park Precinct.

Excitingly, cricketers can look forward to enhancing their game through the introduction of industry leading tech and cricket training systems including the BOLA Bowling machine as well as Fulltrack AI. The Fulltrack AI will allow players the option to record their practice session, review bowling and batting technique while sharing data with teammates. The BOLA machines will offer machine driven practice with adjustable bowling speeds in increments between 15 and 95 mph and the ability to select specific spin, swing and pace settings or random variation settings.

Almost at final completion, the centre will be managed by Belgravia Leisure, Australia’s largest leisure management company who specialise in the management of over 200 leisure and sports facilities across Australia and New Zealand, including local favourite, Geelong Golf Course.

The principal function of the centre is to act as a regional hub for cricket clubs in Geelong and the Bellarine to utilise all year round. Belgravia Leisure looks forward to bringing exciting new opportunities to deliver both accessible and innovative cricket activities to anyone in the Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula.

Centre Manager, Paul Christie, says, ‘The new Barwon Regional Cricket Centre or BRCC is a fantastic investment into the Geelong region. As an indoor venue with vast programming options coming soon, BRCC will offer anyone who is looking to get into cricket the option to learn the game, or for the current players and veterans, it will be a place for people to refine their skills all year round, no matter what the weather.’
