The 2024/25 cricket season is almost upon us!
It’s that time of year when clubs are once again opening for registrations ready for the 2024/25 cricket season to commence. At Barwon Regional Cricket Centre, we’re seeing more and more players getting involved with their friends and teammates to get ahead of the game in pre-season training.
“With cricket season just around the corner, now is the ideal time to kick off your pre-season,” says BRCC Head Coach Jake Brown. “After a few months off, your cricket skills will likely be a bit rusty, which is why it’s important to start hitting balls now, to reach peak performance by round 1.”
“Not only is pre-season important to build your skills back up, it’s also imperative to get your body moving now to reduce risk of injury throughout the season, keeping you performing at a high level for longer.”
At BRCC, we tailor lessons and programs to suit the individual. With the help of state of the art Fulltrack AI, we can get down to the technical aspects of your bowling technique, or even just spend some time on the bowling machine to get some volume in. From technical batting, to in depth fielding techniques. Even spin bowling and wicket keeping. Regardless of your goals, we at BRCC can adapt, modify, and build programs best suited to you, to get the most out of your game.
Lessons at Barwon Regional Cricket Centre are currently available as 1 on 1 sessions for a minimum 1-hour duration. It is preferred that players bring their own cricket bat, helmet, gloves and pads. For those without gear, BRCC can provide equipment upon availability.
FREE Pre-season August Open Training Sessions
As a special pre-season offer, Barwon Regional Cricket Centre will be opening the centre for free 30-minute cricket lessons on Friday 23 and Tuesday 27 August for players across the Geelong and Bellarine to experience cricket lessons allowing access to expert advice from the BRCC team.
